Molex connector and wall power

When I signed up for a new service with my ISP, they said they would send me a new modem/router. After some research, I found a bunch of threads on the internet about how the modem kept burning out. I have some solutions that might sound stupid, but yeah.

So I was thinking that I could strap an extra case fan that I have to the modem. The problem is that case fans have a molex connector. I was wondering if there were any adapters that put molex connector to wall power, or if I would have to build one myself. If anybody thinks this is a bad idea, please tell me.

Edit: Also, does anybody know how I would go about building a step down transformer, or would it be easier just to jack one from electronics class?
