Win32/virut

    Basically i have this win32/virut thing and ive downloaded rmvirut.eve and this is supposed to remove it!

    The rmvirut program scans my computer but doesnt get as far as the infected file before closing... ive tried running it in safe mode as well as just normally and the same thing occurred.

    I was just wondering if anyone knew how to solve this!!

    Any help would be much appreciated

    I'm sorry to bring you this report.

    The correct approach for a Virut infection is re-formatting & a clean re-install when this infection has occurred..Trying to repair a virut infection via cleaning will often result in many files not being able to be cleaned and that means they will be deleted. Your PC could at any point become unbootable since we will be trying to repair/replace files necessary for Windows to operate.
