    Hello,

I have to 3 Windows XP Pro SP2 Systems Contected together. I can see all the computers on all the other computers.

What I would like to do is share everything on the C drives (primary drives)
    Including "MY Documents Folder"

I went through the steps on http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing and still don't get what I want.

In Win 2000 (NT) you could right click C drive and share and you were done. (all files would be accessable)

    No Dice in XP Pro.

Is There a way to do this?

I am the Admin of these computers.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Matt

Go to My Computer, right-click on your C: Drive, click on the tab sharing and share it, do the same for My Documents

Also make sure all computers are under the same Workgroup

Thanks for Responding. "Windows Network - Installing & Sharing" was where I got the orginal Link from. Thats not working. I have to share every File and folder on a drive and some are still not accessable.

They also say that Users personal Documents (My Documents) are not accesable over a network.

They need to be over my network. Seeing the defalt location for most programs is now My Documents.

Hackers could access these, why can't I.

I don't need to get into the windows or program files directory over the net work and can't any ways.

What kind of network setup are you using? A crossover cable? A hub? A router?
Do the network cards both work properly?
Can you ping back and forth between the machines?
Have you tried new ethernet cables?
And what do you mean by hackers could access these, and not you? How do you know that?
I would recommend that you go through the malware removal thread in the spyware specific forum. It's a great tutorial.

Im using cat5 cable to a hub. there are a total of 5 machines (3 Windows XP Pro SP2, 1 Win 2000, 1 CNC Milling Machine with built in hard drive)

No router and I do not have any Internet (dial-up or cable) on that system or any machine connected to it. (Office and Shop computers)

Yes all Five Network cards work fine.

I have communications with all systems. I can see them on the network at all locations.

I was being a smart A** about the hackers.

I really doubt that there is any spyware or malware. These computers have never seen the outside world. I Update with CDs that are made from my one Internet specfic computer.

This is what I want to do.

I have 1 office computer (Win XP Pro) that I want to be able to have full access to all the other computers. (open, add, delete, change all files).

The Win 2000 computer and the CNC Machine I can do that.

The other two Win XP Pro I can share some files but not all files. (for example My Documents and System Files).

I want to be able to access everything on all machines.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Does it just give you an access denied error when you try and access "my documents" on your XP computers?

I've had that problem since forever on my two XP home machines. I've never found a solution. Can you access any files on your XP machines at all?
