Problem sharing file on a Vista machine

    I'm on an XP machine, and I am able to post/view/write files on one shared folder. Another though, I was able to, and now I cannot. When I try to post a file to it, I get error msg: "File may be set to read only"

    Well, it's not, I checked it. What could be causing this problem. I can post it to the other shared folder without a problem.

    Your usage of "post" here is odd. What do you mean? Do you mean Save?

    "Post" meaning move/copy a file. So problem is, I used to be able to move/copy a .doc file to the shared folder on a Vista machine from an XP machine, and now I cannot. I checked properties of folder. It is still shared correctly. thanks!!!

    maybe you could just go through the folder security options.
