Just curious does leaving you anti virus running while playing on (or off line for that matter) have much of an affect on perfomance? Is it best to disable it or should it be left on at all times?

I always shut it off as it's an application and uses resources (memory). If performance is not an issue it probably wouldn't hurt to leave it on. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Dewback its fine to disable this while gaming on your own machine
But i wouldnt reccomend disabling whilst playing online the only thing to watch is the auto updates running whilst playing, ive recently had issues myself with this causing lag :(

aLLiKZar It's not too late to back out!

I have my antivirus program running while playing online, haven't encountered
any problems while playing.. I'll give a try later to see if there are any performance issues with it running and when its not running.

it shouldn't be noticeable... there may be some cpu cycles here and there, but nothing you will be able perceive.

Ok... thanks for the feedback. Guess I will keep the Anti virus running all the time then.
