I got an infection and was unable to run Malwarebytes, HiJackThis as well as other programs. I had no access to install programs as well as access most of my machine. I managed to manually find all files that were changed or created after the infection started and delete them. I then ran multiple virus scanners on the drive as well as other tools. I had B.exe as well as a rootkit that Win32Diag identified as MAX++. On top of the requested programs I have run Win32Diag, Sophos Anti Rootkit, GMER, Norton, AVG, HiJackThis. I think I have cleaned off everything but would greatly appreciate someone taking a quick look at my logs. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I strongly suggest that you stop allowing Bittorent DNA from running at start up! This leaves your system wide open.

You need to double your RAM:
    Code:
    Total Physical Memory 448.00 MB
    Available Physical Memory 217.99 MB

You need to put ComboFix directly on your desktop, not in a folder in your documents as you have it here:
    c:\documents and settings\Phil\My Documents\virus stuff\ComboFix.exe

Please use add/remove programs to uninstall:
Viewpoint Media Player <-- should have been uninstalled in step 1 of the READ ME
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10"
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11"
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5"
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9"
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.1_02"

Now use windows explorer to find and delete:
    c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Application Data\AVG8
    C:\$AVG
    c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\13ec7d8
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp\G1R9T6J2

    Reboot and download and install:
    Java Runtime 6

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real-time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore ato create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    TimW,

Thank you for taking your time out to look at those logs for me!

I need to upgrade the memory as well as the processor and plenty of other things on this machine. This poor machine is still using a Asus K7V board and a AMD 750Mhz processor with PC133 memory. I will upgrade/replace the whole machine sometime when I have some spare cash. Thank You for the memory suggestions though!

This machine has been disconnected from the net since about 5 min after the infection and I didn't want to reconnect it until I was sure that everything was clean.

I will take care of removing those folders/programs, removing/updating Java, as well as stopping DNA from starting.

Would you like me to move combofix to the desktop and rerun it and post the log for it or do you think everything looks ok from what you have seen?

If in your opinion everything looks ok I will do the final steps and will take the steps to be clean for a long time to come hopefully.

    Once again Thank You!!!

Your logs are clean. You do need to move combo to the desktop otherwise the final removal instructions will not work on Combo.

    You are most welcome!! :)
