Hi Trying to connect my old Win 98 to LAN. Can ping other computer (XP) but can't see 98 in the network and it can't see the XP.

Using 3 party software to provide ICS on main XP and can connect to the internet from Win 98 this way.

However! (An isuspect this is the problem) Tried installing "File and Print sharing for Microsoft Networks" on Win 98 and get an error message saying "system policies do not allow adding selected device" What does this mean? And how do I work around it?

Not really what I needed. In the end I did a clean install and now is all good.

    Thanks anyway
