My neighbour has a new 200g maxtor. When he got it he used maxblast to move his OS from his old drive to this one. He had two partitions.75g and 125g. Well he was having problems and decided to do a fresh install. He used masblast to format and partition, booted from xpcd and whet it gets to "install on which partition" he selects c and it says that xp does not recognize the partition. Its says ntfs, the bios sees it as a 200 gig. It won't let him put it on. Any ideas. Is it something that maxblast has done? Thanks for any help.

    Couple things to try,
Run MaxBlast again ( MaxBlast 3)
    Run Maxtor Diagnostics.
In bios may be setting/option to "Reset Configuration Data" or "Force Update ESCD" Enable option if ya got it.

If none of that helps check Maxtor's web.
