Booting xp !

Hi

my comp wont boot xp from cd rom i tried changing in the bios n everything just wont work

is there any other way i can boot the setup cuz i have to repair windows
or do i have to use the windows xp boot utility that uses 6 floppys

What type disc are you using, burned copy or original disc?

Do you have multiple CD drives?

 

im using Burned

i have 2 drives
D:\ Dvd drive Primary
E:\ CD-RW Secondary

 

Have you checked the CD itself?
May it be damaged?
Try to launch it on another PC.

 

First, try the other drive, if that doesnt work I would try to locate another disc.

Are you sure your disc is bootable? I'm assuming this is a legit copy?

 

You can do a Repair simply by just autoplaying the CD and selecting Install Windows XP, then follow the prompts.
