Windows XP Home SP2 on Medion PC, 2.66GHz Pentium 4, 1.25 GB DDR, GeForce 6200 256MB. Online with ADSL using Efficient Networks SpeedStream 5667 modem.

I'm getting BSOD's with Battlefield 2 online, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, stop code 0A, WinDbg states it's code 1000000A with ntoskrnl.exe (nt+8cd35). Can someone please anaylze my minidumps or something to help find why it's doing this?

This occurs on the multiplayer map loading screen, usually a bit after the bar starts loading like 1/2 inch or so. It will occasionally run fine and I can play the game for a while before getting an in-game error of "Problem with your internet connection" (unrelated). I don't get any errors when loading and playing single player. No other programs throw this blue screen or any other major errors.

I have tried reinstalling the game, resetting swap file, updating and reinstalling all hardware and drivers I can find. Nothing seems to help. It is not bad ram, and reinstalling Windows is NOT an option.

I have attached the previous day's 4 minidumps. I have 7 more minidumps from previous days if anyone would like to see them. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

What wattage is your power supply ....graphics card may be sucking more power when gaming than it can handle .....or you could be overheating ....

Power supply replaced this year, upgraded to well above stock. According to the nVidia control panel's temperature reading and NvTempLogger, there aren't any major heat issues (although everyone could always use a little more).

I checked the device manager's "hidden" non-plug-and-play drivers, I deleted some of them, and the crashing stopped. They stayed uninstalled for several reboots, but now they keep coming back every reboot and the crashing has returned as well. Here are some of them:
    • Fips
    • Kerio Personal Firewall Driver
    • sptd
    • StarForce Protection Environment Driver v6
    • StarForce Protection Helper Driver
    • StarForce Protection Helper Driver v2
    • StarForce Protection Synchronization Driver v1
    • SyGate for NT, wg3n
    • SMTDI
    • Teefer for NT

I have a particular hatred for StarForce, which I believe is the culprit. This is really aggrivating because I do NOT have these programs installed, I have no games that use StarForce, I have no discs in the computer that might auto-install things like StarForce, and these things are back immediately after a clean boot. What is causing Windows to restore these entries and how do I get it to stop? Thanks again!

I posted a thread recently HERE on StarForce, which includes a removal utility.

Don't think it's related though, and BF2 is a buggy game at best.

The non-plug and play drivers are possibly coming back after the relevent driver files are being redetected on reboot. I would recommend trying just "disabling" them instead of uninstalling them.
