    Hi there,

My older brother got an old 19" monitor from a friend and the screen looks a bit different than his last one. Are there any diagnostic programs that would tell him if its working properly? Thanks for the help.

Something like this might be what you are looking for.

Most of these monitor "diagnostics" are just to help you adjust the colors, brightness and contrast, gamma, picture size and shape on the monitor's controls.
