    Hi
I have recently encountered this message, 'LSASS.EXE- system' , the result is windows XP keeps rebooting. It will not allow boot to safe mode. I have ran a chkdsk from an installation cd that came with the pc but to no avail. What are my options to try and fix this - I dont want to loose any data on the HD. Thanks

    Halo
Many thanks for you help. I recieve the following message- Lsass.exe - system error. The endpoint format is invalid. I click on OK and the pc reboots. I do not get the 60 sec piece.
I'm unsure on version of XP (can I check from c prompt). I think its SP2 - I have the update cd from Microsoft, so I think I would have update to SP2.
