So i got the game and i started the install, everything went fine, but somewhere about 53% i got a power problem and my comp shut down. When the power got back i oppened the dir and manualy deleted everything that was instlled (dumb me), so when i tryed to install, nothing happened, i can't do anything now, it acts as if the game was allready installed, and i can't uninstall because there is nothing left.

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!

insert the cd, go to 'My Computer' then to your cd-drive, right-click "explore cd" and manually select "setup.exe" or "install.exe" (unsure what the file is called, I don't have the game.)

you may have to edit the registry..

EA games install in to the following registry. Find the one for BF Vientnam and delete it.

WARNING:!!!!! BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY FIRST.
If you need more information on how to do this, PLEASE ASK FIRST!

below is a screen shot of EA games location in registry for WinXP.

    Found this at another forum:

To reinstall the game after an incomplete or improper uninstall simply follow
    the following steps:

    1. Place Disk 1 into the CD Rom drive.
    2. Navigate to My Computer, from there right click on the CD Rom drive and
select open from the popup box.
    3. Find the setup.exe icon and double click on it. This will cause the
    reinstallation to begin.

If the above steps are unsuccessful it may be necessary to perform a clean
install at this time. Take the following steps to remove Battlefield Vietnam
    from the computer:

    1. Delete the games directory. By default this will be C:\Program Files\EA
GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam. Then delete BFVIETNAM from the start menu as well. By
default this is Start->Programs->EA Games->Battlefield Vietnam.

First, delete the C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam folder.

Then, you will need to edit the registry.

STEP 1 Backing up the Registry Files:

    1. Click the Start button-> Run
    2. Type in "regedit"
    3. Click on the Registry (File in Windows 2000/XP) menu, then click Export
    Registry File
    4. Type in "backup" for the File name, and make sure the Export Range is set to
    All.
    5. Click Save

In the Next step you will actually be removing the keys from the registry. Be
careful to only delete a key with information on our game in it!

STEP 2 Removing Keys from Registry

    Navigate to this folder:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\EA Games\
If these folders exsist in this location, please right click and delete them:
    Battlefield Vietnam
    Battlefield Vietnam(TM)

Then close the EAGAMES folder by clicking the minus symbol next to it.

    Navigate to this folder:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\
Right click and delete any entries with "Battlefield Vietnam" in the name.

Then close the EAGAMES and Electronic Arts folders by clicking the minus symbol
    next to them.

    Navigate to this folder:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows \CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

Right click and Delete this folders if you find it:
    {E35B3C63-E958-4E31-A178-95D22024109A}

    Now close the registry editor.

STEP 3 Remove the Uninstall Files

    1. Double-click on the My Computer icon on the desktop
    2. Open C:\Program Files
    3. Go to the Tools->Folder Options->View->Hidden files and select View all
    files/Folders
    4. Open the Install Shield Installation Information folder
    5. Delete the {E35B3C63-E958-4E31-A178-95D22024109A} folder if it is still
    there.

Battlefield Vietnam should now be completely uninstalled.
