   Alright so i have a laptop with wireless internet connection and it usually has no problem connecting to begin with...in fact i always have an excellent signal strength...I'm using linksys and it starts out at 54.0 mbps and slowly works its way down to 1.0 mbps... Anyone have any idea what's going wrong???

   Would contact your ISP ....had a similar and although the ISP said it wasn't them, and the dsl provider (Alltel, in this case) said it wasn't them, it was the phone company ....they ended up changing my uplink at the switch and everything was stable after that.
