can connect wireless but no internet

    Hi,

    I am running win98 on an old laptop. i installed a linksys wireless card. i can connect to the ad-hoc network but the internet remains at large. i cant connect to the internet. any suggestions? thanks for your help

    ad hoc is peer to peer. You want to connect to infrastructure. Make sure you're using the same channel on the card as you are in the router. Make sure you have WEP enabled and that the WEP key you put in the router matches in the wireless configuration on your machine.
