Hi...have xp pro, windows multimedia 11 installed. Seems that multimedia plays movies automatically when they come up in web sites. But I have a CD training disk that has avi movies on it. When I double click the CD drive, windows multimedia comes up and plays but I only get sound - no picture. Tried to install Quicktime...then the video didn't play sound or picture. Can anyone help me with this problem....thanks..Michelle

Had a similar problem recently. Download and install VLC Media player - which played my recent avi files. It's free

Yup... codecs and a good player (NOT Windows Media Player ;) ) like VLC, GOM... I use Media Player Classic included with the Storm Codec pack... great combo :D
