I'm using AVG Ant-Virus (Free Edition) and it is up to date. I'm also using Ad-Aware SE and ZoneAlarm Personal (free edition). Recently I have been seeing this pop-up from AVG's e-mail scanner that I am trying to connect to cl-88-5.tpr.isadsl.co.za I have no idea what this means, but I think it's bad. :(

I checked AVG's e-mail scanner log and I'll post a bit of what it says in there.

I have run AVG and Ad-Aware several times and they haven't found anything yet. I would like to find out why this is happening and prevent it from happening. I suspect this is some trojan horse dialer program and I would love to be able to get rid of it.

If you guys need more info, I'm more than willing to supply you. Thanks for any and all help![

Sorry... I just read the bit about not posting logs. Um... I can't edit it, so... If a mod could delete it (if need be) then that'd be great. I'm folowing the process right now, so sorry about the premature post. After the scanning process' are finished I will post the results.

Okay, I ran all the required programs and they didn't find anything. It occurred to me whilst doing all this that the only time this pop-up POP3 connection thing happens is when I'm running Azureus, a bittorrent client. Perhaps that has something to do with this?

Anyways, any help or any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
(P.S. Would you recommend using CounterSpy instead of Ad-Aware? CounterSpy seems like it's a better prog since it has active protection.)

Now I feel like a jerk. Seems that I'm wasting your time (and server space) with this thread. :(

I just got a reply on a forum devoted to Azureus (the bittorrent client) and it seems that the problem is some dipwad out there in torrent land is using port 110 for their NAT and this is messing with my e-mail scanner.

Well, at least I now know that my computer is very, VERY virus and malware free. :) Sorry to be a bother. BTW, great site and wonderful comprehensive advice. I salute you, sir!
