I'm having trouble locating this motherboard. There is no such model offered (online) from Dixon's. Judging from the other people who have posted about the particular motherboard, no one knows who manufactured it. Could be ECS, Gigabyte, or BioStar?

If you have a web page link it would be appreciated?

The number you gave (P4M900-8237A ) is a descriptive part number, i.e. P4M900 refers to the main chipset, 82371 refers to the Southbridge chipset. Many motherboards have this combination of chipsets. Without more specific information it's a shot in the dark.

Why wouldn't your old PCI card fit? Nealy all PCs have PCI slots and if your video card is PCI it should work until you can upgrade. AGP connectors are most often brown.

yeh this motherbord is a bit dodgy to find on the net im quite sure its a
PCI-Ex slot and all i know is the onbord graphics card is

Manufacturer : VIA Technologies Inc (Foxconn International Inc)
    Model : Chrome9 HC IGP

    which is AGP

Apparently Dixon is a budget PC in the UK. The board listed above was commonly sold in the model EI-206 but has been discontinued (I think). It's fairly new so I think it takes a PCI Express video card. The best way to know for sure would be to download, install, and run PCWizard or Everest. Here's the links:

You should have no problem installing a PCI video card; I have never seen a motherboard without at least one PCI slot. While it's not the most desirable interface for a video card, it's probably better than the on-board video, for gaming anyway....
