I have combed through these forums before and have usually found the answers or a work around to my problem to fix things, but not this time around. I have been hit really hard by a nasty bug or something which doesn't allow me to do much of anything. I can however, get to the Recovery Console but only by inserting a Recovery CD. I CAN NOT boot into safe mode, I CAN NOT boot into last known config, I CAN NOT even get into Windows on a normal boot without getting this stupid BSOD. Here is exactly what is said under the Technical Information:

    *** STOP: 0x0000007E (0XC0000005, 0XF858F3C0, 0XF8A4D52C, 0XF8A4D228)

    *** atapi.sys - Address F858F3C0 base at F8579000, DateStamp 41107b4d

As I was saying before, I can get into the Recovery Console, but what to do from there is anybody's question. Other than that, I can't do much of anything else. The darn thing wont boot at all, but it's about to get the boot out the living room window. One other note, I can't lose this hard drive either. I was working on back the thing up when this crap happened. Thanks a million in advance. :)

    Chaslang:

I went to the link that you has suggested and made it all the way through Step 1. Went to restart and the same thing happened all over again with the same message as before hand when I originally started the post. :cry

Not sure what to do next. But will hang tight until another idea or possible solution comes about. Thanks for the help, it is appreciated.

I assume you mean Part One which has 6 steps?

Then I suggest that you work in the Software Forum to see if you can get your PC to boot. It does not sound like malware. Some one may suggest a repair install next.
