I am currently using the internet behind a firewall that i have no control over. I need to find out what ports i can use for proxies etc. how can i find out what ports the firewall is blocking.

Im not sure if this is the right form but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

certain ports are blocked by my firewall(ie. 23,6667 etc). These ports do not allow in/out connections.

My question is .. how can i find out all the ports that are blocked.

Is there a program that will probe my firewall and tell me all the ports that cannot be used.

You can try www.grc.com, click on "Shields Up", scroll down and click on "Shields Up" again, click on "Proceed" if you're a new user, and click on "All Service Ports". It wills scan the first 1000 +/- ports.

All ports are blocked by a Firewall, except those (if any) who are deliberately open by the Admin.
