Log-in problem.

This forum hardly seems appropriate for the subject matter, but, since the Contact page doesn't encourage correspondence about such mundane matters, it is probably the least inappropriate.

For some few weeks now, the site hasn't accepted my log-in credentials, saying that my name or password isn't recognised. I deleted my Roboform Login and started afresh.
It is still not recognised. Typing in both parts, rather than relying on RoboForm, is successful.

Is the problem with the site? If not, where and what might it be?

Sounds like a problem with Roboform.

It's also possible that the site will not take auto log ins. Set to foil robobots.

    Thank you TimW.

The site did, until recently, accept RoboForm's log-in. Has someone been playing with it?

From experience, I can't expect much help from them.

Are you talking about this site or some other site?

    Very strange.

There are only two items in my RoboForm's Majorgeeks login: my user name and password.

If I use the login the site tells me ...... well, I've already said that in my first post.

    Hi

Like TimW dont know of any changes to the login proceedure at Majorgeeks, but one thing that "could" be something to check is to use a different browser to open Majorgeeks, as at times updates to browsers have broken the auto-login of the likes of RoboForm.

Worth checking for updates to RoboForm and checking with different browser. Also delete cookies and temps for your browser/s then try again

    Thank you DavidGP,

    Interesting (?) results.

The only way round the problem in IE11 is by right clicking on the Login in the long list of logins, and then selecting Go & Fill. That works.

I just found the same in Chrome.

In Firefox, clicking normally on the Majorgeeks login button in the RoboForm toolbar produces a window bearing the message "Cannot find forms to fill on this page".
Trying the Go & Fill trick fills the two boxes, but they are immediately vacated again. So the only way I can get into the forum is to manually enter name and password.

Oh, early in my exchange of messages with RoboForm's Support, I downloaded the latest version.

Hmmm, where does that leave me :confused

addendum: I use CCleaner frequently to flush the cookies out.

    Hi

Have you asked Roboform support on your issue with the version of RF you have and the versions of various browsers?

I would just try something like opening say Firefox in safe mode (hold Shift key down and open Firefox) and as this has no add-ons installed it may give a clue as to an add-on causing the issue, long shot as not all browsers have the same add-ons

Is it just this site or do any others have the same issue?

I'm not sure know whether or not I mentioned Chrome and Firefox, but I think not.

Opening Firefox without add-ons means RoboForm isn't displayed, so I don't see that it helps.

It's the only site that, as far as I remember, presents this problem.

I will check my correspondence with RoboForm support, and if the other browsers were not mentioned will rectify that.

Thank you for your continued interest.

Looking through the RoboForm correspondence, I didn't mention either Chrome or Firefox. A silly oversight.

But I have just explained what happens in those browsers too.

    Let's see how they respond.
