    Hi,

I bought this NORCO-4618 PCI-X / PCI eSATA / SATA II / SATA I Controller Card. I finally got a chance to connect it and I connected 2 ext hdds today but it doesn't work. The power lights come on for both the ext hdds and the adapter but the ext hdds don't turn on. They work fine when I use a USB 2.0 cable. I went to the Norco site for the card:

Some people refer to an installation disk and drivers for this adapter and some people said that none were needed.

Is there a way that I can get the installation files and drivers on-line?

I've been looking through a huge assortment of cables that I've acquired for one reason or the other. I have five Sata I to Sata II cables. 4 of them, I bought a few months ago. I don't know where the 5th one came from but it works, so at least I know that the adapter works. I don't know why the 4 brand new cables don't work though . . . this is what I purchased:

Are they the wrong type or too cheap to work?
