There are millions of technology junks lying in recycling warehouses or inside homes. Many of these are computers or old mobile phones who have lost their usefulness after being outdone by modernization. These computers and phones contain plastic, metal and chemical material that can be salvaged and reused again. Refurbishing and repairing these electronics can make them useful again. At Computer recycler baltimore Md computers and cellular phones are recycled and reused. The following are ideas for recycling.

    1. Old rubber tires - These truck, motorcycle and car tires can be turned into furniture such as sofas and chairs or housing fences.
    2. Juice plastic wrappers - Can be used to make bags and place-mats or reused as paper materials.
    3. Old paint cans - repainted and designed, these cans can be used as flower pots.
    4. Tattered clothes - Woven into rugs, place-mats, or repaired as new clothes.
    5. Old computers and phones - They can be refurbished with repairing for computing use. On the other hand, surrendered to recycling companies.

I'm all for recycling. Depending on where you live, here are a few possibilities on where you can recycle certain items for free:

CFL Light bulbs: Home Depot or IKEA.

Rechargeable batteries (notebook, power tool, etc.): Best Buy, Home Depot.

Ink and Toner: Office Depot gives you $2 per cartridge (up to 10 cartridges per quarter) as a credit on your Office Depot rewards card - no other purchase required.

General recycling: Check the web site for your city or county and search "recycling". Many areas have government sponsored recycling centers or periodic recycling drives for items including old tires, paint, CRT monitors and electronics.

Computer equipment: Many larger cities have a Goodwill "Computer Works" store. The Goodwill Computer Works in Houston takes in any computer related stuff (including old CRT monitors) at no charge. What they can't use or resell gets sold for scrap and stays out of landfills.
