I've tried several of the demo partition apps (swissknife, partition manager, partition magic) on my windos xp pro AND win98se machines so I could turn my 4GB FAT32 Hitachi microdrive into a 2GB FAT16 microdrive card that my camera will recognize. I have a Kingbyte USB card reader for the drive.

Each time, I receive a different error message. Swissknife gave me a memory read error in XP and a vxd (BSOD) message in win98. I would really like to get that app to work since it looks like it should do what I want and is FREE. Has anyone had any success with it?

I am going to check out Linux on my Knoppix CD and see if there are any easy utilities there. Any other ideas are welcome.

The 2 and 1GB cards cost almost as much as this 4GB card did and I didn't realize my camera wouldn't read it since I'm new to microdrives.

    Thanks
