The Nail.exe thread.

Hi, I am new and for some odd reason I cant reply to the thread I wanted to , so I create a thread.

When Chas Lang (sp?) resolves the posters issue, I would like if I could a full list of troubleshooting steps, so I can print it up.

I am working on my sisters computer. It is a magnet to spyware, malware, and such. It has the aurora/nail.exe one.

I have installed spybot, adaware, put zonealarm on there. The computer was shutting down because of a services malfunction that I had to disable. (Not sure if it was related to spyware). It kept coming up with a Blue Screen with IRQL NOT EQUAL.

Anyways, they also have the SurfSide Kick one too. I will be driving back down to their house this weekend to completely fumigate the computer. Worst case scenario is to nuke the system and reinstall everything.

So, on the Nail.exe and SurfSide kicks resolutions, could someone post the full resolutions in here, so I can give it a hack. I know about the stuff that you have stickied.

The best thing to do is search thru the forum, look at different scenarios’ and get an idea how to deal with each infection.
