Spam spam spam...

Monty Python once sang a song about Spam... "Spam, spam spam spam... lovely spam, wonderful spam." they were wrong - it's neither lovely, nor wonderful.

Anywho. As an organisation, the way we deal with spam is simple - too simple. Our mailserver pulls down all emails, Spamihilator runs a filter on it, and Exchange then distributes the remaining "non-spam" messages to whomever they belong.

However, this solution is no longer viable. Spamihilator is a g reat little program, but it's not really good enough for a company. It's a bit slow, and results produced are nearly not good enough. As a result, we are now looking to move away from it. I've looked around, but can't really find a clearcut answer... can soemone recommend an antispam solution that can work on a server, like detailed above? It can be software or a blackbox - it's not about saving money now, it's about fighting the good fight. We just ned something that's safe and reliable, and easy to maintain.

DO you have exchange SP2 installed ? This includes IMF (Intelligent Message Filter)

 

We do, indeed. However, our "infrastructure" guy insists on nto using Exchange as the spam filter... so I need to make recommendations to him. He's a big wacky...
