Hello Major Geeks, I just recently installed a remote control program called iTalc. I have setup iTalc the correct way but there is one problem I am facing. When I run the client I get a error "The ISD-server could not be started because port 5800 is already in use. Please make sure that no other application is using this port and try again. (Image: http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/5750/italcerror.jpg)" So by that error I know that I need to find what program is using port 5800, i went to cmd, typed netstat -pant and all it says is "tate". I then logged into my Linksys WRT545G router, went to Applications and Gaming > Port Range Forward and added ports 5800-5900 (Image: http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/3497/portforward.jpg). The computer I want remote control of is my kids laptop, it is running on our Linksys Wireless network (192.168.1.1). I tried using that as the Ip in the Client Settings (http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/5750/italcerror.jpg), but that did not work, I then went to http://www.whatismyip.com on the laptop and tried the IP that the site gave me: 67.xxx.139.xxx. Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong? Help is very much appreciated.
