Please advise as to what categories are safe to clean with this program. I presume temporary internet files and temporary files are. How about memory dumps and chkdsk file fragments? Any other suggestions appreciated.

After you install CCleaner, just leave the normal checked objects and run it. I wouldnt recommend running the "Issues" scan because its known to create problems. Just check everything except for the Advanced Items.
