IE shuts down with error message

I, am a woman on the edge.

Having IE shutdown problems, i have completed all the steps on Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal, i have completed all 4 Scanning and Cleaning steps (in safe mode), done Trend Micro and Symantec scans, run AVERT stinger, re-scanned with all my lovely new virus 'bashers' and still IE shuts down whenever it thinks it'll be funniest!!

Please help me, what do i do next, does anyone know......?

Try doing a repair.

Go to Start, Run and copy and paste the following,

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\Inf\ie.inf

You will need your XP CD.

 

Hello again, i don't have an xp cd but i will try and get one. Am running Mozilla Firefox at the minute and no probs as yet.... I'll try doing a repair if i can get hold of a cd. Thanks x Amanda.
