Spybot continues to flag these items for deletion but they continue to come back everytime I run it. Is there a way to block them from my system? I don't know whether these are technically called malware or not. My OS is XP Pro, SP2.

Technically tracking cookies in which these are, are not classed as malware but many applications flag them in order to highlight higher detection statistics or to scare the bejebuz out of you.

You could try installing Spywareblaster as free application that doesnt run in the background but adds known malware, activeX exploit sites and many tracking cookies to your Browsers blocked site lists, works very well on IE or Firefox.

When entering these items in SpywareBlaster to be blocked , it's asking for CLSID. Where can I get that info?

What version of Spywareblaster are you using as the one I have ( v3.5.1 ) and is uptodate with definitions file as of 12/08/2006 blocks all those cookies bar Mediaplex, by default.

But tracking cookies as I mentioned are a fact of surfing the net, you will be picking them up at a site you frequent, you can just delete them at end of surfing session, using CCleaner or the Browsers delete cookies and temps option.

as for finding the CLSID of some tracking cookies, not all have them as they are harmless and do not register themselfs inthe registry to gain a registry Class ID.

I have the same version of Spywareblaster as you mention. I guess I'll just work around this. Thanks again for the help.
