Hello, I have edited your post to remove your email address as an email address on the internet is a target for spam. With regards to your floppy disks, all I can say is that they have probably degraded and cannot be read. I suggest you look into recovery methods. Sorry!

Hopefully your backup is not over multiple disks. LZH is a compression standard. You can uncompress with something like WinRAR or 7-zip (freeware). What program did you use to back up your files?

Edit: If XP does not see the floppy as having files, then the above will not work and you will need to use recovery software. Do you have another computer with a floppy drive?

I know this sounds crazy but, hold the floppy so you can tap it on edge on a table or desk. Tap it on the two sides edges and the back edge then see if XP will recognize the disk as formatted. I've had this work in some cases but not always.

In my previous post I mentioned 7zip. It can uncompress LZH files. What program did you use to create these backups?
