Default win64 sirefef removal fixlist.txt request

Hello,

Please help. I have computer that has win64 sirefef and my computer reboots every 60 seconds.

I have booted in recovery console and ran FRST64 and created the FRST.txt

I would like to request a fixlist.txt script to "fix"

Thank you,
Chad

Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
  • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST.exe on your flash drive.
Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach[/URL])

Now boot into normal Windows can continue with the below.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

Then attach the below logs:
* Fixlist log
* C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Tim,

Thank you so much! I was able to workaround the issue by using system restore, then Combofix in safe mode. Thankfully, Combofix was able to repair the services.exe file. The FRST tool looks like a hugely valuable tool. Is there any way for me to generate my own fixlist.txt files in the future?

You're welcome. If you want to run Fixlist, just follow my instructions, but it really should be run under supervision.
