Computer won't connect to internet

Hello!
Ever since the most recent MS update, my computer will not connect to the internet.

I'm running Windows 7 and I did a system restore to before the update and it worked fine. Of course, like a dummy I forgot to disable the auto update so it just updated again. I'm sure I'll have to restore again unless there is another solution.

Is this a problem others have had? Anyone know what I can do to fix this without disabling future updates?

Winsock and or TCP/IP may have been corrupted.

Open a command prompt from an admin account.

type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt then enter
next
type netsh winsock reset catalog then enter
next
type ipconfig /flushdns then enter
next type
IPconfig /release then enter
then
IPconfig /renew then enter

If prompted for reboots on these steps, do that before proceeding.

I've already tried the netsh winsock reset, but this seems more thorough.

What update is causing your problem? I did the 5 important Win 7 updates last week and have had no problem connecting. 2722913, 2705219, 2712808, 2731847, and 890830 (malicious removal tool)
