System restore on Windows 98

HTF do do you it? I can't find it on system information.....I have been borrowing a laptop fpr a while and I want to remove any ah......stuff that I've accessed since I've had it.

 

The Windows feature System Restore was first available on WindowsME, and subsequently XP. Regardless, if the system you are using did have it, it wouldn't clean up what I think you are implying.

 

No, no I'm not implying anything of a porn nature - the laptop was borrowed from my partners school, and I do visit lots of music message boards and so on, with swearing etc.....I just wanted to give it back with a clean slate, as it were.
No way to do it then?

 

Go into Control Panel -> Internet Options and Clear History, Delete Temporary Files (including Offline Content), and clear cookies.

 

Yeah ok, so all the things I have on favourites (We have had the laptop for two and a half months) I have to delete individually?

 

Yes, unfortunately, but since you don't want to delete their favorites...

yeah, but I only wanna delete my shite, not the stuff that that was on here when we borrowed it!!!!

 

Why not find all the files (Start/Find/Files or Folders...) newer than the date you got the computer and review and/or remove those?
