My computer has been sending out emails to the top 20 names on my address list. I have AOL and use AOL as my email. This has been going on since February (at least). There is no subject line and the link inside the email usually is something like "http://sites.google.com/site/lpyoksaon/ssbkmpxd" But it is a different address every time. Just the sites.google.com/ is the same every time. Two people that received emails in different months have told me that the link is a drug company trying to sell Cialis, Viagra, etc. One person said it is located in Canada. First I emailed everyone in that list and told them that I would never send them a link without some sort of explanation, Then yesterday, I finally made up 22 fake email addresses that start with aaa and that seems to have helped because today, all of the spam emails were sent to those addresses. (I also made up 22 fake ones for zzz because it used the end of my list once.) Of course, my inbox was innundated with MAILER-DAEMON non delivered emails today, but I was glad that it worked. A friend told me that I should get on this web site and someone will ask me to send them my Registry Log and tell me how to fix this. If so, that would be great. By the way, the emails that are sent show up in my Send Folder on AOL.

I am running Windows 7 and I just bought the computer in December. My old computer didn't have this problem. This is a Toshiba Satellite A505-S6980. I have AOL, IE and Firefox installed on this computer. I have outlook, but don't use it for email and I don't have Outlook Express.

Thanks in advance. I hope someone knows what to do.

After I posted the thread, I found the Read Me Instructions and followed them. Here is my MGLogs.zip file.

Here are the other two files from MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware. My windows is 64 bit, so I didn't run the other two (as per the directions).

    Thanks, Marilyn

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm sorry but there are no problems showing in your logs. Perhaps you should approach AOL about the issue to see if it is/was on their end. See if someone has gotten your account info. See if someone is logging in during hours when you are not using the account. And also perhaps when your PC is not even turned on. Check the time the emails were sent.
