When I updated my Yahoo Messenger it added the Yahoo! Toolbar to my Firefox Browser and also made Yahoo! the default engine in my Firefox Search Bar. I have unchecked the Yahoo! Toolbar on Firefox as I do not need it and I clicked no when asked if I wanted yahoo as my default search engine. But everytime I open Firefox my Default Search Engine is Yahoo and I need to know how to get my default search engine back to Google..
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated I did a search on the FireFox website and could not find anything relating specifically to how to get my default back to Google.
    Thanks again..

If you are talking about the small search box at the top right hand of Firefox, there should be a very small black arrow pointing down to the right of the "Y!" icon. Click on it, and you can change this to whatever you would like, and even add engines.

Yes thats the one I am talking about I do know I can change it to what I want once Firefox opens but it used to be that Google was the default and when firefox opened it was automatically a Google Search Engine. Now when Firefox opens it shows the Y! for the Yahoo! Search Engine even though I clicked NO to not make Yahoo! my default Search Engine.

My husband is not as computer literate as I am and we prefer the results of google over anything else and he is used to being able to just go up there and type in what he wants to find and not mess around with that little black arrow.

So, how do I get it to be Google there all the time everytime I open my Browser up without having to use the little black arrow?? I want it back the way it used to be that when I opened up the Firefox browser it was the G in the box for the Google Search engine..

    Thanks,
    shewolf :)

Just to chime in that I am using v1.06 and that I've always found that the search bar would default to the one I used last.... this is a new browser window I'm typing in now, and the search engine is for dictionary.com, which is what I used last yesterday....
