Please help, I'm trying to install a new 160 GB harddrive. I've frormatted the drive, and loaded the boot disk. When I install the operating system( does'nt matter weither it is windows 98, ME ) is goes to the screen that says 100% then a black box comes up and says Boot sector write virus Y\N and when I hit Y or N nothing happens. Please tell me what to do?

    Thanks:)

    Hi

I don't think you have a virus on there. Its more likely you have Boot Sector Virus Protection turned on in your BIOS settings. Just turn it off while you instal your OS then if you want you can put it back on again.

    Hope this helps

    Matt
