I think my HD is fried. I have tried everything I can think of and have tried SpinRite. No luck what-so-ever. I would like to give it a desperate try to swap the electronic boards wit another identical HD I will purchase. I am afraid this may be beyond my knowledge. I don't even know which is the electronic board in HD. I have read from previous threads that some of may have done this. Any suggestions anybody? Has anyone had any luck and be able to access their data again after doing this? I am desperate after trying everything else.

Repeating myself, why don't you contact your hard drive manufacturer and ask them for advice/costs, or someone they recommend, to carry out this task.
I've never done it, but have read that cleanrooms are best when this operation is intended. Baz
