i had a corrupted file on my hard drive F:and couldnt access the drive at all so i formatted it loosing the data on it.
    then the drive disappeared altogether.
went into disk management and found it as disk 1,unknown, 149GB unallocated.
    also states 'not initialised'.
when i try to initialise disk i get 'unexpected error' warning.
how will i get this hard drive back in buisness?

    thanks

Have a look again and see if you are given an option of 'Import Foreign Disc' or words to that effect.

thanks for those options Halo, but i just cant find that drive anywhere on the computer.
now to make matters worse my computer is making clicking noises when its starting up,which is taking ages.
i think its feeling under the weather
