adware.coolwebsearch removal help

    ive tried refreshing and setting my computer back to different times. ive tried some removal and read many guides. ive tried regedit and the permissions thing. nothing! it wont go away and prevents itself from being deleted even when I have full permission. can someone please help me finally resolve this issue?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    This infection has not been around for years! So what makes you think you have this infection. Any standard antimalware scanner would remove this if you had it. It is a trivial issue by today's standards.

    so it says this on my virus reports: adware.coolwebsearch and gives the registry locations.
