Help w/Downloader Mediket & Downloader small viruses

    Hi guys,

    My AVG anivirus states that my computer is infected with the following 3 viruses:
    Dropper.Small.7.AV...Downloader.Small.14.C.....Downloader.Mediket.H.

    The Antivirus is unable to get rid of them saying that they are imbedded objects. Can you provide me with any solutions to this problem?. Thanks alot for your time

    Try running a full system scan with AVG after booting in safe mode. If that does not help, please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

    Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.


    After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

    Thanks for you response. I have completed all the steps mentioned in the link, however have be unable to get rid of the virus. I have downloaded and installed hijack this. What should my next step be? Thanks

    I forgot to mention that i did not have any problems downloading any of the tools. The online scans were also unable to get rid of it, and running AVG in safe mode also only identified the virus but was not able to get rid of it.
