Hijack Log....gives shockwave operation error

Hi If you suspect malware as the culprit, then please follow the below,

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

• Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
• Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

• After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

• When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
  • CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
  • Bitdefender - from step 6
  • Panda Scan - from step 6
  • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
  • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
  • HijackThis

NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

 

NOTE: The description of your problem does not sound like anything to do with malware. If you think you have downloaded something that has cause your problem perhaps you should uninstall whatever it is that you have been downloading. Like all the hacks for starters.

However based on what you have attached thus far, here are some comments.

Please run CounterSpy again and this time have it fix what it finds rather than Ignore like you did your first time. So a new log (in text file form please) and attach it. Note: Bearshare is bundled with malware and must not be used.

You also MUST NOT use msconfig to control startups! See the first step in the READ & RUN ME and follow it. Then attach a new GetRunKey log.

Also please uninstall the below which you should have done in step 0 of the READ & RUN ME:
Viewpoint Manager (Remove Only)
Viewpoint Media Player

You did not install and run Spybot as requested in the READ & RUN ME. Why did you skip so much of the instructions in the READ ME?

Please attach a new HJT log that was obtained after running the whole procedure in the READ & RUN ME.



Uninstall the below old versions of software:
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
Mozilla Firefox (1.5.0.5)

Now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Then install the current version of FireFox from: Mozilla Firefox
