ahh Chas I used to live right next door to you (in Ridgewood)... How's the flooding, and housing costs up there? Some members of my family are thinkin about moving back up there. We miss the school system and the lack of crime.

I'm a little south of where I'm shown on the map, didn't recognize my zip. That's what I get for living in a small country village. I can zoom right into the road, actual spot where my house is.

 

Yeah my sister & brother in law would have to sacrifice their very nice 4 bedroom house down here for something MUCH smaller back up there. But having seen the schools down here and the gang problems exacerbating even in the middle schools, they are willing to make that sacrifice. Even though we live in a middle to upper middle class area, there's still alot of random street crime. Something I definetely wasn't used to having grown up in Bergen County, it's something you (I) took for granted.

 

My city is invalid. Something I'm doing wrong?

 

Most people know where I am, to the rest, it's just "The jungle".

 

The Google API has some quirks.....

 

Looking at the map, I look pretty lonely in Minnesota.

Thought there was at least one or two others from here.

I'm rather surprised that most of the US members aren't more spread out.

Most are on the east coast, with a couple on the west, and Adrynalyne in the middle. (Maybe everyone's scared of him?)

 

Gotta admit...the picture he uses for his avatar, kind of makes one wonder what is in that morning coffee!!!!

It's not that anyone is afraid of Adrynalyne, just prefer trees and grass to sand and cactus. Adrynalyne seems to be a super nice person!

 

I'm in finally, and out in the middle of nowhere. But, to you guys, I'm not just a name on a post anymore, Now i'm a name on a map.

 

Ok, I've checked the satellite view and thay show me as living at Parkland School. I'm about 8 blocks East more or less. I can't get the full zoom on the southern part, so I can't see my house.

 

i can see where i used to live. kingswood road, gillingham, kent., for those in the least interested. i love this. i hope all the MGers put themselves on the map. its interesting to see where you all are.
