hi, to install ubuntu from usb stick i need to check if the system will boot from USB........for that i need to check the BIOS........how can i do that???

Watch your screen when you boot for the "press delete to enter setup" or similar message. Each computer is different. It could be the delete key, f10 or f12. Once in there look for boot priority or again something similar. If you get stuck look online for your BIOS manual and look up whatever you get stuck at because again while all BIOS are the same, each is a little different.
