I have been sent an incredible powerpoint presentation on transportation in various Asian countries.

You know the sort of thing.
4 drawer filing cabinets strapped to a bicycle.
Livestock on the back of a bike, or motor bike, etc.

I'd really like to save the individual photos, from the pps file, to become part of a screensaver program.

Is this possible? and how do I do it? Bazza

Can't you just right click the image and "Save as" then change the file type to JPEG, BMP, etc. Whatever you need for the screensaver program?

Assuming you have the Powerpoint Program on your computer (not just the Powerpoint Viewer), drag the .pps file into the program and then right click on each picture (listed on the left hand side of the programs interface) and select copy and then paste it into MS Paint (or other graphics program) where you can save it.

I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong but stay with me on this one.

If you open the presentation viewer I am not sure it will let you click on any object on the slide since it does not support editing.

    If true

Your only option is to hold the shift key and the Print Screen key and paste a screen shot into any art program ie. paint crop the shot and save as a jpeg.

Thanks jewlzs. I've got Office 2000 that comes with Powerpoint.
Don't know why I didn't load Powerpoint in the first place. confused

I'll have to trawl through my CD collection of programs to find the Master disk again.
I've found Disk 2 in its' proper place, but somehow I've misplaced Disk 1.:cry:(

I know I can Printscreen it, but was looking for the "Save Picture As" option as my preference. Bazza

If you have lost the disk, the Open Office jobby will do the business instead.

I DO keep them all organised, that's why I can't believe it is missing.:eek::eek:.

If you could see my computer area just now you would realise why.
I bought 10 x CRT monitors at an auction for AUD$0.55 cents each (AUD$5.50) the lot and they are nearly all in here.1 job lot unfortunately. I didn't have a choice. :D

Not much room left in here. Laptop and desktop on 2 computer desks, printer, 2 x TV's, Hi-fi, lots of files, computer mags, etc.
That bl**dy disk has to be here somewhere. :D Bazza
