Please follow all the steps in this Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal >

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better

You previous message was a little on the cryptic side.
I assume you mean Netgear is your router and you cannot get an IP address from it using DHCP. Is that what you meant? If so, are you sure you are set for DHCP?

What registry entries are you talking about?

Yeah sorry it is a Netgear router and yeah it is set up for DHCP and the computer is too. and here is the reg entry that i was talking about

    Marketscore(Netsetter) Regkey Data Miner HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:software\netsetter\

if i remove this entry it will kill the internet.

i will go throught that link that you game me and see if any thing else helps

i was just wanting to clarirify my post eariler

    thanks

So without touching the registry entry you are getting you IP address assignments okay. Is that correct?

Yep if i leave it the reg entry in i will get an IP address and i can access the internet.

I have followed all of the directions in Read me first before asking for support.

In safe mode with Windows XP Home with sp1
    Trend removed troj Collector A
Symantec was clean for both virii and security
    Stinger was clean

    Cleaned hard drive with CCleaner

Ran Ad-Aware SE (with plug-in). It found, quarantined and cleaned the netsetter/marketscore entries and files.

    Ran Spybot. Clean.

    Result: Browser didn't work.

Restored netsett et al with Ad-Aware SE.

    Browser now works.

I have also tried using the DOS command to use the 'hidden' uninstall with ossproxy to uninsatall the program. DOS reports the ossproxy.exe file is not recognized as an executable.

This is the third day I have been on this. Some technical help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Warmfire
