Is there a quick and easy way to do this, to show all of your hidden files without having to go into each individual folder + their properties.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

Is this what you are looking for?

[IMG] Now download unhide.exe by Grinler to your desktop.
Now run unhide.exe by double-clicking it. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
Did this restore the missing (hidden) shortcuts?

Generic instructions: How you'll get to it and the exact wording may depend on your Windows version but open Windows Explorer and go to Tools>Folder Options and select the View tab and under advanced settings will be a list of settings that can be applied to folders. Scroll down to "Hidden files and Folders" and click the radio button for "Show hidden files and folders." You might also want to UNCHECK the boxes "Hide extensions for known file types" and for "Hide protected operating system files" if you really want to see what's what with all files and their extensions (usually very helpful to some).

The above works for XP. It has to be that or something very similar for Vista and Win7.

It's pretty much the same for 7.
