ipconfig: tunneling???

Attached is a zipped screenshot of what I get on a PC when I run 'ipconfig'. What the heck is tunneling? This PC doesn't have any malware that I can find: I've run numerous scans and all I've found is some tracking cookies. The PC is running really slow overall and wouldn't go online until I exited the Yahoo Widget Engine; a notorious resource eater..... Anyway, what's up with this ipconfig situation? Should I 'fix' it?

tunnelling is bypassing the firewall by accessing a non standard port.

Run a port check (try shields up at gibson research) to see if anthing is getting in (or out) the back door.

Or tunneling is running one protocol on top of another in this case, ipv6 over ipv4 until it can reach an ipv6 host.

 

The tunneling doesn't seem to hurt anything, web surfing is pretty quick, so I'll just leave it alone. But this PC is running so S L O W that it's almost going backward The hard drive LED is lit up half the time, even if the PC is just sitting there; the screen saver is off.... maybe I'll start a new thread. I looked thru the running processes and I don't see anything that could be causing the extreme slowness. Turning off the Widgets helped, but the PC should be alot faster. The specs aren't anything spectacular (actually, far from it) but I have a slower PC right next to it, with half the RAM running WAY faster.... yeah... I'll start a new thread on this in a few minutes if I don't get this slowness resolved....

Perhaps either Windows or Google or someone is indexing. That slows a pc down no end.

I've reduced the startup apps to basically nothing.... anyhow, I started a new thread for this PC 'cuz the tunneling isn't really a problem anymore. There's no AV programs or firewalls on this PC. Here's the link to the new thread: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=123752
