    hi,
I recently ordered some tickets online from 2 different sites and I used my friend's credit card. when it came to tracking the status of the tickets one of the sites I'd ordered from had the wrong address on it (7 instead of 73). I'm currently trying to sort that out, and thought it was just a typing error on my part... I went onto the other site to check and the same thing had happened, it was 7 instead of 73. I really don't think I made the same mistake twice, is there a kind of spyware/programme that does this sorta thing just to annoy people? I'm also concerned if a programme did this, they could've took the info for fraud, obviously it's not my card which would make that even worse... any help/info on this is much appreciated, though I don't know if there are programmes that change addresses when they take CC info..? It's really highly unlikey I got the address wrong twice - at least I hope not, my job is a data entry clerk!
    thanks in advance,
    Lulah.

    Please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps below:

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

    hi,
sorry I did know to do those steps first cos I've had to that for a different computer, but I just urgently wanted to know if it was even possible a programme that was getting credit card info could change addresses so I could notify the person to cancel their account before it's cleaned out or something!
I will do those steps, but I don't have a lot of time to sit down and do it all at the moment, if anyone could give advice on telling this person to cancel their card it would be much appreciated.
    Lulah.

I personally know of nothing that does that; doesn't mean that there isn't anything that can do that, just none that I know of; key loggers are normally used to capture and individuals information.
