We are currently facing the exact same thing in the UK,we've actually already fought off something similar in 2009.

There is absolutely no need for these laws, they argue for them under the guise of preventing terrorism but they have this right already in both our countries, just speak to a judge present the evidence and your reasons for suspecting someone of a crime and they can snoop all they want including the content.

Are they seriously tryna say they currently can't read suspected terrorist's emails or don'trolleyes MI5 and the CIA aren't allowed to read emails or track where users go? Whatever.rolleyes

Its the same old hyposcrisy, our politicians lampoon other countries for not having a free open internet, having the regular police snoop on regular peoples communications but really they want to do exactly the same thing.

One of the main reason they want it over here is due to the riots which were all organised on facebook and through email 'just like the Arab spring' I'd rather have riots every so often that the country turn into 1984.
